So you only want results without any effort from you, you have not answered how you have helped us, did you attend the rally, or sponsor money. I took the opportunity and travelled and participate in the rally for a common cause. Look at your self and ask your self these questions, and see how you can change and help IV by contributing.

I am in the exact same situation as you are. I realized on Friday the 10th (by reading threads on here) that my attorney filed before I was current. My attorney said (although I dont know if this is true) that he was willing to argue that they should accept the application. I didn't take my chances and refiled my application. I hope that your attorney does everything that he can for you to get your application back in. If nothing else you should atleast try getting your money back and hiring a new attorney.

FearOnlyGod it is, do not give into bad employers. I looked up google for complain DOL against employer harassment. If you have email or other proof of his recent harassment it can be added to the same complaint to DOL check more resources you should be getting your pay.

Was this is a change in the procedures of USCIS? If yes, could we not request them to increase the length of the EAD from 1 to 5 years? This will help many of us too. I need to get my DL renewed every year along with the EAD.
Well there was court case related what constitues the 6 years where court said that only period of stay on H1b in US (so period of stay outside US on H1b) doesnt count.
So the law didnt change its the interpreation of law that was changed by the court case.
Same logic goes with H4 (they dont work on H1B ) so it was a matter of time someone would also challenge that on court and win.

Discover does not issue a credit card if you are not a PR or citizen..even though you have good credit history..
That is not true at all. Discover was the FIRST to isssue me a Credit card as a student and to this date no problems.

Every employment based immigrant who aspires to settle here in US to realize their American dream for their kids better future like the way you think.. if America doesn't welcome him, he will look for competitive job in some other country where he is welcomed or he will go back to his own mother country... if you don't promote the insource of worlds best talent in to US economy...that job will be outsourced for sure in couple of years...young talents on the other side of the planet are working like rocket scientists with innovative engineering brain to keep their economies rising to reach number one position in the world...if you observe the salaries these days in India and china..they are on par with US jobs and more in some companies..there will be no stand to mentality of the people once they struggle for their existence with the job and other issues in the life...it goes with money mostly......if you think on the other side like if govt welcomes those same young talents who can create jobs and can help US economy to continue its journey with out putting per country limit for in sourcing the talent..:cool:

If case is denied due to USCIS error, MTR can be filed with out fee. when filing MTR it should clearly mention that " Service request for MTR" which implies that denails s due to erroneous decison. (Attorney filed this MTR with Subj: Service request for MTR, enclosed all documents which supports that decision is taken by error and to reconsider).

Those who complains about curruption in back home, will NOT try to improve system back home and also in case of GC processing, their contribution will be only "Negative comments" but NO constructive approach to improve ANY systems..

Dear friends, why do you seek to start bashing your country at the first opportunity you get. THere are people in the Indian Govt who are negotiating on your behalf to make sur you get your money back.
THen on the question of paying bribes to get money out of PPF - something is better than nothing. Why complain. If it is so bad, go back and fight to fix the system, otherwise stop maoning. India is the only country that will welcome you if you are kicked out of here. I remember i used to pay 50 INR per ticket for a railway seat, now i go online and book a ticket. Things change they take time and patience.
Only those people who have NEVER bribed anyone to get stuff done illegally, or out of turn should speak. And i know there is no one, since you are in US and came on a passport and we all know how passports are obtained.
You left india, want to stay away, so leave it alone. When you are kicked out of everywhere, the doors will still be open, just keep some cash for the gatekeeper.
Lets discuss whether this swap will be possible or not, or what the loopholes are.

Don't know if this would be of any help to 3-year degree holders or not, but World Education Services (WES) has recently changed its policy- it now considers 'selected' Indian 3-year bachelor's degree as equivalent to a US bachelor's degree. WES is a very well-reputed evaluation company.

I am a physician MD currently doing IM residency on H1B. i have a job to start from oct 2007. since PDS for india are now current, i would like to know if my employer can file PERM for a prospective employee now in june. my univerdity lawyer is not clear or rather not willing to file.
