Thanks Arihant. Yes it is strange and I am trying to find their ulterior motive behind this. All the while I thought my employer is not one of the typical desi employers (read blood sucking) we hear about in this forum. Hope I am right.
By the way, my question was related to AC21 (after 180 days of filing 485). If I quit my current employer and join another company, how would I let USCIS know to forward all their RFEs to my new employer/lawyer and not to the old one. Am asking this because I heard the I-9 form we fill while changing employment is only for the employer and he doesn't forward it to anybody. Does my query make any sense at all or am I just blabbering BS :o

Are they going to approve cases which was filed during July 2007 with 2006 or 2007 priority dates, if they fall under namecheck issue.

OK looks like I was wrong. Some July Visa bulletin people may not be able to buy houses.
But those desis can at-least help with Global Warming by living 5-6 in a house, and 5 guys travelling together in a 1995 Toyota Corolla.

Can you explain why EB2 ROW is flowing to EB3 and not to EB2 India?
It's just a decision that state department makes. I'm not saying it's justified. I'm not saying that's how it should be.
I think the logic is that when India EB2 became Unavailable and EB2-RoW was Current (for example in Sept Bulletin: http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/bulletin/bulletin_3009.html
If EB2 RoW were flowing into EB3 RoW, this would not have been possible.
I think it's an attempt to bring EB3 on par with EB2 (this is just my guess).

You have a fair chance of visitor visa denial as its bot very easy for people of our age to come on visitor visa unlike F1 or H1 (I may be wrong, but I didnt any friend's brothers or sisters coming to US on this ).
Also in your caseif she is asked about your status, then chances of denial increase as intent can confuse the officer.
What will you state your Wife's status on the forms she will need to fill for 485. This can also be risky.
If its possible, its good she comes and you do the filing and then she returns back..

So those guys who attended the hearings or met with senators. what was the result? what did they accomplished? did they get the opportunity to participate with the senator or law maker in an action plan? or we just wasted that opportunity asking for autographs? please those guys post your comments. - I strongly object to the language used in your post. Hi all,
Mine is a different situation, i was with my employer till mid of last year and did not inform him while leaving his company and joined another job (h1 transfer) he is now saying that the vendor did not pay him some money and i have to pay that amount and he is demanding that amount for my W-2.
He also said that he would take legal action if i didnot pay his losses ( i did not sign any document with him other than my h1b papers) no agreements,
I am going to call IRS after feb15, but is he going to go to court?
Please suggest me.

Dude, I think you shouldn't worry about this. The contract was between the consulting company and the client. If the client doesn't pay what is your fault ? You don't control the client. I don't think he has any case against you. He might have a case against the client for not paying the dues for services rendered but that is their problem , not yours.
These desi consulting firms are so friggin shortsighted and pennypinchers. They need to be taught a lesson. I really wish that they come up with some immigration reform bill where one of the items is to prevent exploitation of employees hired by these desi firms.

I am not saying Thanks and Good bye, As you see even after my GC I am still responding to your message. I am fully supporting the VI initiative. but the problem is that USCIS will do only what they think it is right and not what is really right. Me being in the Q for so long , I will never forget the Horrors of waiting for GC, even after getting the GC.
We as indians are divided lots in every area, we are like CRABS. certainly I am not one of those CRABS, My friends will give a ample proof about that.
In matter of fact, As a community, we are not PROUD about OURSELVES and our HINDU CULTURE, we cannot make any DHARMIC efforts to come under ONE UMBRELLA and fight for our cause. IV is one initiative, which is good but not enough, because do we get any help from our Indian Embassy or any Indian Organisation in America to support us, NEVER. this is because we DONOT LOOK UPTO OUR INNER VOICE AS HINDUS. Just as example. With my first employer in the US I signed a contract without even reading it well (stupid thing to do, btw). Later I noticed that I signed something like "any products, technology, software, documentation, etc. ever developed by [me] is property of [my employer]". I don't remember the exact wording and lazy to look it up, but it meant that anything I will ever develop will belong to my employer. I didn't hesitate to leave them and contact their direct competitor, my previous employer wrote me "cease and desist" letter threating with legal actions if I will not respond with some time frame. I showed the contract to a lawyer and asked "what should I reply?". He laughed and said - reply "I suggest you to start legal actions immediately" or better don't reply at all. He won't be so stupid to go with this to court - he will lose the case and you will sue him back and recover all expenses.
I didn't reply and never heard from them again. So, yes, illegal and unreasonable agreements are not enforceable.
Also, if you google there was precedent with some guy from India. Who had similar agreement and left the company. The company sued him and lost, appealed and lost. The guy sued back and won, the company paid $200,000+ something expenses. The case was long ago, I don't remember the link.
