Does it mean they would stop processing I140 premium applications which have already been sent. My I140 was pending for 6 months and I changed it for premium after the dates became current, it was sent by my lawyer this Monday (25th) and received by USCIS on 26th. Does this mean it will not be processed or does this mean they will not accept any premium processing applications from July 2nd.

Please provide the email address/new thread where we can write the articles. I do not think they told us the lies, I think we raised our expecations too much, we did not do our homework. its one of those advertisement gimmicks,
where they say everthying is free and at the bottom of the page there are all kinds of restrictions written in small fonts.

how many of you realize that the queue gets longer every year by _seven_ years? how many people applying for h1 know this?
its not that i didn't read the fine print. _they_ kept the fine print. i was never even allowed to see it.
and when i asked for the promotions etc due to me for my work, they said, you're free to leave.
the intimidation is clear.
in hindsight, yes, i should have paid a US lawyer consulation before coming here. but before coming here i've worked in 4 countries and the experience was always nice.

Adjustment in Dollar exchange is good for both US and Indian economy, if $ hits Rs 38, this will certainly makes outsourcing even more expensive, Indian companies which are currently overrated will have much needed adjustment and the ripple effect of which can be seen in local Indian market such as realestate etc. In a long run this is good,

My sincere advice to the OP is to avoid posting such sensitive questions on a public board (as can be seen from the backlash by a majority of the posters).
OP , your best bet would be to get a consultation done with an immigration lawyer. And don't worry about others labeling you as a criminal, what's done is done, the important thing is that you learn from your mistakes and never do this again. good luck.

After reading your post, I just called the ICICI customer support and checked with them. They told me that I cannot get anything from my ICICI NRO account unless otherwise it is for education or for medical purpose.
I am not sure how you got your money from ICICI. May be you had put USD and got it back sometime later. Have you tried to bring back INR from ICICI account? If yes, let me know what you did.
As I mentioned in my post, I had a resident Indian A/C - account that was opened when I was legally a resident Indian (salary a/c incidentally). No way it can be confused with one of N/RE/O accounts. I had INR in my account. It was wired over to my account here in the US, I got $s. Simple. If you look through the link that I posted, ICICI's instructions are quite clear - you can say family maintenance as a good reason.
As a couple of people commented in subsequent posts, it is straightforward to send money, INR to $.

Guess What from NOV - 08 to July 09, the VB will have older Cut off dates and after July 09 DOS will open the flood gate and move the cutoff of to 2007 or even 2008.
USCIS will start approve the cases with later PD's and the leave the older PD's on the air.
It is a mess. I don't have any trust in USCIS

I couldn�t apply in July and applied to August, as if that RD was not enough, they moved my case from TSC to NSC and reset the RD to Oct. Not only are they not following PDs, they are throwing away RDs according to their whims and fancies� I have lost faith in the system.

Can employee start working without SSN? My wife received H1 approval around Oct 2006 and we applied for SSN in Nov 2006. We received it by end of Feb 2007. From March 07 we got pay stubs.
People who switched from F2/H4 to H1 can consider their SSN application time as valid status. Right?
Person can start working after applying for the SSN.

This EAD thing is really annoying, my wife got her AP and EAD last 11/21, with immediate update in USCIS.gov. I'm still waiting for mine, and I'm the principal. Anyway. I'll have an infopass appointment on 12/18. My H1-B permit expires on 02/07/08.
We applied to NSC, all documents received on August 02/2007.

No, we are not going to abuse this and we won't be sending stuff over and over. But stoppers have a very Specific significance: to educate and differentiate between legal and illegal. A stopper says "Stop the reverse brain drain"...A stopper would pique people's interest becase we are typically lumped in with illegals, and a stopper does not exemplify what illegals are. Illegal immigration's message is: "legalize us and help new guest workers come", our stopper says "We are already legal and are already leaving, fix this before we all leave"
Actually, many Indians with US Citizenship are leaving too. What I have seen with my friends and coworkers is that, the moment they receive the US passport they book a flight to India and come back when ever they please. If media picks up that fact, then what is our strategy?

You can still get promoted while on H1B just don't give up hope. If you're not getting promoted even if you're performing well, then there's something fishy going on with your employer.

MY wifes EAD is approved today after following the procedure that I have written today. I am hoping that mine will be approved soon.I guess the Officer did take the necessary action to bring the documnt from Storage.
