Hi
I have a I131 (AP) renewal question. My first original AP was issued on Nov/2007. I understand that it expires in 1 year( I do not have the AP doc right in front of me right now). Also I traveled to Mexico in May 08 using AP and was stamped on AP as paroled until May 2009.
Is there a 120 day rule to file AP renewal (like the one for EAD)? Do I need to file for renewal of AP now (120 day before) or close to May 2009? I have filed for EAD renewal 1 month back and am still waiting for approval, will it cause any problems if I file for renewal while EAD renewal is pending?
120 days before expiration of AP not what is stamped as paroled until.
EAD renewal will not interfere with AP renewal.

Wow you have REALLY stretched ur freedom of speech to the MAX here havent u ;)?
Haha!! I hope you are not offended - I apologize if you are.
Anyway - like I was saying freedom of speech and expression is very important for people belonging to any culture / country. Some people might think business / technology alone will ensure properity for the people involved - but the important thing to remember is that - business / technology is also a by product of these freedoms. When your mind is unrestricted by limitations and regulations - you get more innovative ideas - and you can also spread them easily.
Donot let your cultural / religious commitments hold you back - most of them are unfounded and lack evidence anyways. This is one of the reasons West is more progressive than East - because they lean more toward reason instead of tradition etc., - and they say it out loud also which we don't do. This enables them to get the bullS*it out of the way first and concentrate on constructive things - innovate, do business blah blah blah!!
Did'nt want to preach - but this is something that I value a lot.

A very horrible psychopath who has proven himself to be a loser all his life has given me a red with the following " hehehehehhehehehehh" words for my above post.
My message to whoever gave me a red - u r such a loser.
Invoking AC21 is easy, but you need to know what you can expect and how to resolve it
(1) If you decided to change to new employer using EAD - there is nothing you need to do. Just join and work.
(2) As employer is asking what they need to do - tell them they need to provide an AC21 letter of support - you can find various formats on the web.
(3) Your new job must be in same or similar category.
(4) Call customer service to verify your address on file - also hire a personal attorney and make sure they file g 28 and have them on file too for USCIS communication
(5) Your AC21 letter may/may not reach your file depending on the service center, officer and a lot of other factors.
(6) Usually most AC21 cases go through just fine unless your ex employer requests a revoke on i 140 - in such a situation you may get an RFE, NOID or a straight denial on 485 - nothing to worry about - you can resolve all these and you will find yourself back on track.
Hope this helps

first of all with that Matloff paper u proved a point that i was trying to make and that is the fraud cases are way more than 20%
and secondly Matloff is only one person in the anti immi committee (if u can call it that) that opinion is his and doesn't necessarily dictate the whole bandwagon of anti-immis , the brand equity hit takes place at the grass-root level
check out that punk aka itgrunt
these turds brand every indian immigrant as being fraudulent beacuse of the fraud that takes place , all these organizations , numberusa , washtech etc thrive only because of the large number of grass-root supporters who call in the senators and tip them over
Matloff making the "fraud issue is irrelevant" statement is hypocritical , but he's always been that way. it doesnt fit in *his* larger scheme of things which tend to get balanced out between the pro and anti immigrants in the *larger* aspect of things
but the "brand equity" being tarnished is so tangible and digestible at the grassroot level to makes it a public issue
yes the larger context of the racist/xenophobic issues will always be there as i earlier said
but by just saying fraud is irrelevant is stupid
you need to use your own common sense and think for yourself instead of just quoting/cut pasting random people all the time .

Any visa form or I-94 form at POE will contain a section for declaring these.
Yes, you have to indicate. If you don't and they findout it would constitute perjury leading to revocation and possibly complicate your life further.
I-94 form does not have any such thing.. But DS-156 and 157 might have.. so if the guy goes and does not apply for a visa he shud be fine i think...

I got a FP notice for next month. It is certainly not related to AP or EAD renewal, since I don't have any pending AP or EAD renewal. I got my EAD renewed last March and AP in May. So hoping that I got the FP notice since they started looking at my 485 application and something positive will be end result.
Good luck.

Are you kidding us? I do not know what level of education you have achieved so far in your life but it looks like you are not enough educated to differentiate between the definitions of permanent residency, citizenship and perhaps working on work visa as far as legal stay in USA by outsider is concerned.
What would be the "legal" reply from US Supreme court,if you ask US supreme court that whether citizen of other country can call US president a "My president"? . And What would be the "legal" reply from Supreme court of country A,if you ask that whether citizen of country A can call US president a "his/her president"?
USA expects someone to abide by the land of the law while s/he come to US to work legally. And what is expected legally is one is not involved in "Anti USA" activity whatsoever it may be.USA legally never expects citizen of other country "to love" or "show fidelity" towards USA when s/he is still the citizen of other country.
PavanV is right in his argument, in a sense, that when some person is citizen of country A at this moment his/her fidelity naturally must be for his/her country A. This is the legally expected human behaviour in every society and country. It would have been perfectly o.k. and "legal" about rsharma's statement if he would have already been US citizen at the time when he stated what he stated.
Such ridiculous, unnatural, premature, unethical and spineless behaviour can only be shown by the people who are already morally sold.
First of all when somebody comes here in USA on work visa, s/he has come on invitation from USA base legal employer's willingness and is ethically, legally and morally obligated to provide professional class and quality of work for what s/he is hired. Nothing more or less is legally expected by USA and employment system within USA. USA and its whole society is well aware that these persons are citizen of other countries and so they never expects any kind of fidelity from them at least "legally" and at the same time they even do not grant the rights what US citizen nornmally have. Now out of that bunch many people prefer to go for permanent residency as permanent residency bring little bit stability in living and flexibility in employment and international travel. If one becomes a permanent resident of USA then also USA still only expects that person abide by the law of the land and do not involve in "anti USA" activity. It still does not expect "fidelity" towards USA in legal sense. There is no legal or social or political or any kind of pressure from USA or any governmental or non governmental institutes within USA on any particular person coming from other country to become its citizen. One can stay on permanent residency forever till death(At least based on current prevalent law) and legally work and s/he does not have to become a citizen for working legally. And I do not know about other countries but in India it is not considered "illegal" and/or "unpatriotic" to go in other country(Except Pakistan and Bangladesh) for legal work so coming to USA for legal work whether on work visa or becoming a permanent resident in USA while maintaining Indian citizenship simultaneously is not unpatriotic or illegal. Simultaneously USA's legal system allows an Indian to remain as citizen of India while residing in USA permanently for legal work.
Now if somebody decides to become a US citizen, there is nothing wrong in that. I do not see anything wrong when rsharma states that "I have decided to become US citizen in future". But if he is mature and human enough then his fidelity at this moment should be towards India (Assuming he is a citizen of India currently) as he is a citizen of India at this moment. Showing this kind of behaviour perhaps may not be a outright unpatriotic in terms of "Indianness" but it certanily signals probable but strong disloyality towards India.
And I do not think that USA citizens are that naive that they consider the people "not mingled" if citizen of other country do not call USA president a "My president" while holding the citizenship of other country.
If calling US president a "My President" by non citizens would be the barometer of "mixing" / "mingling" then USA would not be today's USA. So please do not kid USA and us .
Who's is kidding whom? I am educated enough to spot a hypocrite like you. It does not take education or the knowledge of law but some common sense to think about these things, which you don't have. Also, a hypocrital bully like you does not have any morality or ethics anyways. Look yourself in the mirror before you call names or judge somebody. I don't need a lecture from a person like you, especially on the law or the meaning of citizenship, which I am quite aware. So, just keep rambling about your useless crap.

Guys,
I efiled my AP on 9/5/10 @NSC and it was approved today after requesting expediting on 10/5/10 based on financial loss, I have a business transaction back home for which i need to be present and provided all supporting documentation related to that.
This is what is think is more effective than contacting senators/Ombudsman for expediting, resend all the I-131 supporting documentation, proof of emergency/loss, 2 photos and include a cover letter with bold colorful fonts requesting expediting to the same address you sent your app earlier (btw, i used the USCIS center courier address and not PO Box address), i believe this way your app goes to the officer quicker and he has all the documents needed to approve your case right away if you qualify for expediting, i have used this process more than once and know it works at least for me....you have tried other methods, why not try this as well!
Good Luck!

If you look at THOMAS it actually shows that Yeas are 55 and Nays are 40
So the bill passed the voting ....
but it failed because it was ruled "out-of-order" and hence rejected ...
I dont know why it was ruled out of order ... maybe because it was attached to the defence spending bill so it was not the right place to put in this kind of amendment....
I hope that Yeas mean YES and Nay mean "NO" or I need to get my head examined
I noticed it too but thought it is a typoe, what's "OUT OF ORDER"

Why do you think Diwali is only for Indians ? It has been recognized by US as a national festival just last week. It okay to deviate from norm sometimes. We will make sure there are wishes given for each festival. Festivals are meant to showcase culture and bring people together.
Happy Eid, Happy christmas ,Happy Hanukah in Advance.
We know we are working together for a cause. Stop the negative energy and increase postiive energy with the Festival of lights.
Happy diwali to all (Not just Indians )
msgs like this help establish the notion that this is an indian website dedicated to indian immigration issues. I didnt see any post wishing happy Eid/ Eid Mubarak nor did I notice last year that anyone wished a Merry Christmas/ Happy Holidays, nor do we wish our Chinese friends a Happy Chinese New Year.

It is important to note that for this particular sample size of 246 cases, the percentages listed above represent statistically valid figures based on generally accepted statistical reporting guidelines.
without the number of student intake doubling/trembling up to make it one
The number of foreign students has definitely increased since then. The quota is not that
big, so even a small increase like say 10% in the number of foreign students is enough to
swamp the quota.

These numbers are truly historic," says Goli Ameri, assistant secretary of State for educational and cultural affairs. "We haven't just covered lost ground we have now surpassed" previous records.
Plus more than enrollment, it is the economy that governs how soon the quota is reached. In my experience, the economy
showed good growth after 2005, which understandably led to increased hiring.
again i dont know if thats what the anti-immi's complain

The employers will still be paying only the official prevailing wage, which is far
below the real market wage, and it will be business as usual. Again, this is the
loopholes at work, in this case in the legal definition of prevailing wage. Most
employers who are using H-1Bs as cheap labor are doing so FULLY LEGALLY.
The true rate of abuse of the H-1B program is near 100%.

I did refered earlier in this forum ,about KIRAN SATHAYE AGENCY (http://www.givemeinsurance.com) , a desi agent deals with Farmers Insurance in Texas only.
I got mine and my wife insurance with him for $15 a month covering 250K Term Life insurance ( We are on H1 )
Check for any Farmers agents in your area.
Good luck.
Do you get anything in return after the Term? Or is it gone?
