All the positive comments about EB3 I cutoff movement seem to emnate from the possibility of passing the Senate Bill 9 sometime this year. Below links have more information about these.

Hopefully from October 2010 the date stay as it is. Did you checked the cut off data it does show 0 requirement prior to 2006.
Very Disappointment for me.....as i missed it with couple of days.

I am planning to file EAD/AP for my wife who is on H4 along with adjustment of status application. Will she continue on her H4 status till she gets EAD/AP?

I hope you get in time before your EAD expires. My EAD was expiring on 09/24 and my employer submitted on June 24 (no efiling) & RD dt June 24; Got my EAD approval email on 07/28 and card received on 08/01/2008; but renewed EAD runs from 7/30 - 7/29/2010; I did not mind the disappearance of 2 months. Which service center did you apply

Recently I returned after a one month trip to India. At DC airport the CBP secondary inspection officer grilled us rough. First he called my wife and asked why did we leave US. She told that since my parents are old and not in good health we visited them. Then he started asking for documents proving it. And told us that without documents he won't let us enter. He went on to say that AP is only on humanitarian basis and unless CBP officer is satisfied with proof they cannot allow AP holder to enter. Finally after convincing him for another 30 min he let us in.
This was a really shocking experience. Are employment based GC's AP supposed to be treated like humanitarian AP? or was the CBP officer over reacting? Gurus please throw some light.
Sorry to hear your story dude. You just met a jerk of a law enforcement official - they are in the minority. Most CBP officers are better than this. Several years ago i too met a jerk like this in an airport in the southeast. I was entering on H1-B, he kept saying that my employer (a reputed american company) was disloyal etc... as he was processing our paperwork. First he grilled my wife, then he started with me, i just responded to him with a disgusted facial expression.. answered his questions rather curtly when asked, did not respond to his rants. His rants were not framed as a question - so i don't have to answer it. All this lasted a total of 5 to 6 minutes as he was checking and stamping our passports.
BTW, not seeing your family for several years is a "humanitarian" cause. Technically the AP is supposed to be used as a travel permit for difficult situations, but most good Americans know that not seeing family for years is a good enough reason. There are jerks everywhere and type A's, thankfully they are not in the majority.

I think you are wrong... Company A can revoke approved I-140, if employee leaves them..

Company A CANNOT revoke approved I-140. I have checked this with 3 to 4 attorneys & also with Gurus on this forum. Only the USCIS has the authority to cancel the approved I-140, if it detects that it was obtained fraudulently.
One more suggestion, ask company B to file your H1 with Premium processing. Once you get H1 approval then submit resignation to Company A.

EB1 or EB2 or EB3 is created by USCIS. We are just applicants. We were not asked to give our 2 cents to frame the rules.
So there is absolutely no logic for us to fight among self. Target is USCIS. EB2 can raise their concerns, EB3 can raise their concerns or both can do it together. Lets get that straight.

Obama has done something. He made sure that we are in this pell mall because democrats are not getting additional 12 million supporters. Had he been only 50% passionate towards immigration as he was towards Health Care, we as well as millions of others would have been out of this mess. Lets see :). Please let us know what can we do to help our cause here. I am ready to drive, meet, talk to any one I can to push things here. I dont know how much of an impact that would be, but even a little can help.

I got the pdfs via my institutional subscription. The articles are resourceful, and come with references for further research. The author, Woolridge, seems to be a good person to talk to. If someone wants the articles, email your personal email id and I will send pdfs later this evening.

I donot think I deserve $180/hr.... Right now I make $85K plus a 10% bonus.
You are missing the point. I do NOT think I am SPECIAL. I have an MBA from a US reputed Univ. plus 5 years of experience... I do assessment of their existing IT systems and give recommendations.
My logic is differrent.. This is valid for US born people too. WHY would a company pay $180 an hour to a consulting Co. for the same skill-sets.... however, when you go to them directly they will just pay you $60-$70.
if the difference is really that big than seriously i fail to understand it, they might be accounting for lot of other things like travel expense and other benefits that they might be providing but if the spread is as big as you are saying then it surely does not make sense. if this has anything to do with SOX then consulting company might be guaranteeing lot of things and might have legal liabilities if that is not the case then it is unexplainable.
although i strongly refute the possibility that hiring managers are eating money because just like any beauracracy few guys cant keep benefiting without sharing the benefits and no descent company will tolerate that kind of culture there could be isolated instances but when they are found out they are very severely punished and their life becomes that of a dog running from here to there because in most industries if you are working for a certain domain people know each other and reputation travels faster than light especially bad reputation.

Meeting at hindu center in flushing on Sun evenings would not work so well due to the prayers being held during Sun evenings at the temple. I think we should poll people on when it's most conveninent for them to meet and go from there...
and yes prayers do help too but as they say "god helps those who help themselves...so both prayers and actions are needed :)
